We're happy to share that with the installation of HEPA filters and 12 additional air purifiers in the Lower Loop, we can all breathe a little easier! To help maintain clean air, please remember to close the doors when entering or leaving the loop. We appreciate your cooperation!

Happy Friday Lower Loop Families,

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who have stepped forward to help bring our Quarter 3 Learning Labs to life!  At our recent Parent Coffee Morning, many of you told us, "If you need help, just ask."—and we listened! Your support has been truly invaluable, and we are very grateful for the deeper connections our learners are able to make because of your involvement.

Your children, of course, feel an immense sense of pride and excitement when you step into their learning spaces. Seeing you actively engaged in their world reinforces their confidence and enthusiasm for learning. Your presence not only strengthens their connection to school but also highlights the incredible support system they have around them.

With so many wonderful offers of help, we kindly ask that you always wear your Ƶ name badge when coming into school. This simple step helps all faculty and learners recognize and welcome you, reinforcing the strong sense of community we are building together.

Bringing Snacks from Home?

Please rest assured that there is enough food provided to learners at morning snack and lunch. There is no need for you to send additional snacks for morning recess and lunch.

We have noticed that some learners who are staying after dismissal do get a little hungry before their ECA begins at 3:00pm. Learners staying on for ECAs are encouraged to bring a healthy snack from home to enjoy before the ECA begins.

Should you choose to send your child to school with additional snacks, we kindly ask that you discuss our school snack guidelines with them:

✅ Snacks should be healthy and nut-free (as we have students and adults with severe allergies).

✅ Learners should not share their own snacks with their friends.

✅ Bringing a snack box is optional—our school provides more than enough food for all learners each day.

Please note that not all learners bring snack boxes, even though they may wish for them. We ask that you help your child to understand that the snack box is just for them and is not to be shared with others.

Thank you for your support.

C3-4 Bringing Myths and Legends to Life Through Dance

Our Q3 Learning Lab journey into myths and legends from different cultures began with a powerful provocation—an immersive experience in traditional Thai dance. C3-4 learners were captivated as Pokpong from EY5 and his dance group performed an elegant and expressive piece, bringing Thai legends and Gods to life through movement.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Pokpong’s Khon Dance teacher Phutthichai Chotipradit and Khon Dance Captain Dr. Agrindra Li Rajendra join us, guiding learners through the art of expression, gestures, and costumes—essential elements that shape the tone and impact of a performance. This experience sparked deep curiosity about how dance can tell a cultural story, revealing connections between movement, tradition, and identity.

Provocations like these are more than just experiences—they ignite wonder, inquiry, and meaningful connections, helping learners recognize both the unique and shared aspects of global cultures. This inspiring session set the stage for our exploration of myths and legends, encouraging learners to think critically about how different cultures express their stories.

We can't wait to see how their understanding unfolds in the coming weeks!

EY2-3 Learning Lab - Taste of Fun!

This quarter, our learners are embarking on a Learning Lab culinary adventure, discovering a variety of flavors and food types. At this stage, a child's taste buds undergo changes every two weeks, so we're encouraging them to explore a wide range of ingredients and dishes.

To make this experience even more exciting, we've invited families to join us in preparing or sharing a unique food item. So far, we’ve had Jay’s mom and nanny visit to make pomegranate juice, Oscar’s mom and Yaya (grandma) share their delicious ‘tortilla de patatas,’ a traditional Spanish omelette, and Kyrin’s mom treated us to egg custard steamed in pumpkin!

Each experience has been a delightful way to explore new tastes and textures, and we can't wait to see what comes next!
